Entry Level 3 Vocational Studies

What is the Course About?

This one year programme offers a supportive and engaging introduction to college life, helping you build confidence, independence and the practical skills needed for everyday living, learning and future employment.

You’ll develop your communication, teamwork and problem solving skills while strengthening the knowledge you already have. The course is designed to help you feel more confident in yourself and more prepared for your next steps — whether that’s further study, training or work.

Will I need a DBS check for this course?

No

Will I need any specific resources, uniform and/or kit?

No requirements, all resources will be provided.

What are the days and hours of the course?

You can expect around 16 hours per week, although days and times may vary.

Your timetable will be shared with you during Induction in September.

Will I undertake work experience as part of the course?

You may have the chance to take part in work experience or work related activities, depending on your individual needs and the opportunities available. These experiences help build confidence, independence and real world understanding.

What are my progression and career options?

This aims to enable progression to a Level 1 course the following year.  Alternatively, you can progress into employment.

How will I be assessed?

Entry Level 3 Vocational Studies is assessed through internally assessed coursework, allowing you to demonstrate your learning in a supportive environment.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. However, it is ideal if you are working towards Entry Level 3 in English and Maths.
